EXCITING ENGINE OPTIONS
The EXi can be supplied with a choice of powerful and sophisticated VW or Honda engines, more usually found under the bonnets of their front-wheel-drive hot hatches, including the turbocharged Volkswagen 20v 1.8 or K20 units.  These are used in conjunction with the superb Honda five or six-speed gearboxes, driving the rear wheels to create the ultimate mid-engined sports car configuration

REAL SPORTSCAR PERFORMANCE
Even a basic, cheap to run and insure 1600cc Honda unit will provide the ultra-lightweight EXi with staggering performance.  But opting for the turbocharged VW 20v or K20 units gives the EXi a potential power-to-weight ratio of more than 450bhp/ton – well in excess of many supercars.  On the street or track that translates to a 0-60 time of a little over three seconds!  And there are Rover power options for self-assembly on a budget.

REAL SPORTSCAR HANDLING
The mid-mounted engine and gearbox give the EXi perfect weight distribution. Coupled with fine-tuned independent suspension, based on uprights and double wishbones developed by Marlin during the current '09 race season. This gives the EXi the quality of ride, handling and roadholding associated with upmarket exotic sports cars. Adjustable coil-over dampers are used front and back, so ride settings can be tuned for road or track.

REAL SPORTSCAR FEEL
Effective road/track sports cars are all about balance - between no-compromise, high-speed driving dynamics and the more user-friendly characteristics that make a car practical on a daily basis. And it's a balance that the EXi strikes perfectly. Pottering around town, the EXi is forgiving and easy to drive - but when you want the excitement of a B-road blast, or to show a clean pair of tyres to other trackday machines, the EXi delivers.

HAVE A BLAST - WITHOUT BEING BLASTED!
Nothing compares with the exhilaration of open-top driving. But it doesn't have to come with intolerable wind noise and buffeting. The EXi’s slippery aerodynamics and steeply-angled windscreen mean you can hold normal conversations even at high speed - so you can leave that flying helmet at home!  And for those occasional breaks in the perfect British weather, there’s a simple but effective hood too.
