THE FACTORY-BUILT MARLIN 5EXi
Marlin Cars have been building specialist sports cars, for customers to drive away from our Mid Devon factory, for more than 17 years.
The 5EXi combines specialist design and small-scale production with well-proven, hi-tech components from Honda, giving the customer the best of both worlds.
Being hand-built for each individual customer means the final specification of each car can be tailored to their requirements. From body colour and level of trim, to engine spec and wheel choice - you call the shots, with as much expert advice from us as you want.

Money matters
Maybe budget is a priority – we can keep the cost right down with a gel coat (no spraying required) finish on the bodywork, inexpensive 1600cc Honda engine and basic interior trim. You can even save big money by completing the assembly yourself (see self-build).
Or perhaps you want the no-holds-barred ultimate? We can give you a high-quality, metallic paint finish, leather trim and digital dashboard, and the ultimate in alloy wheels and rubber – all underpinned by a Tarmac-eating, turbocharged engine giving you a power-to-weight ratio that will leave supercar owners sobbing in lay-bys.
Because specifications are so flexible, it difficult to be specific about prices, but Honda 1600 V-Tech versions start at just £17,000. And, again, there’s money to be saved if you complete the assembly yourself.

Road or track
The 5EXi was created for the road and, although you might buy it as a second or third car, you’ll soon find you’re using it more and more. With a road-tune engine and full weather equipment, it’s surprisingly user-friendly, and will make even busy roads a pleasure again.
But like any true driver’s car, it’s also completely at home on the circuit, making it the perfect trackday device – and one that you can drive there and home again.
If you’re a bit more serious about your trackday action, we can build it with any combination of engine/gearbox so you can discover the 5EXi’s ultimate potential.
In fact, if you want to use your 5EXi for serious motorsport, we can help there too – we already race a two-car 5EXi team in the Castle Combe GT Championship, where we regularly give Porches and Ferraris a run for their money! (see track or race cars)
Or if you fancy a combination of road and race use, we also have experience of sprint and hillclimb cars. You name it!
