RACING: 2005
This season a good deal of testing and development work has been done on both the body and chassis dynamics of the 5EXi which has resulted in a much improved race car. The body profile was altered a lot towards the very end of the season and these detail modifications will now be in production for the ’06 race cars.

NEXT SEASON: 2006
Marlin will be contesting all the 750 Motor Club’s kit car race series** with an all new racing 5EXi.

PRIVATEER RACING PACKAGES:
For 2006 we are introducing a variety of packages to assist those who wish to become involved in racing our cars. These can include a purpose built 5EXi race car, trackside delivery and collection, full pre-race preparation, trackside assistance and support throughout the season.

To keep the cost down to a very low level we suggest that the race car would be supplied on a lease hire system and ideally over a 2 year period.

For more details and prices please contact Terry at the factory on 01363-773772, or email terry@marlinsportscars.co.uk

Grumble: ** Re: 750 Motor Club Kit Car Racing
We love the 750 Motor Club’s Kit Car race series. But were very disappointed to learn that yet again for another year all cars entered in the series will have to have expensive carburetion systems retro-fitted, to replace the standard fuel injection which all engines have been built with for the last 12 years!

We understand why this decision was taken initially when only a few production engines had fuel injection and it may have been considered an unfair advantage – biased towards those that had money and the 750 MC have always stated their aim is to keep racing costs down. But that was over 10 years ago and times have changed. Injection is now standard on all production cars made for the UK and therefore cheap and plentiful. Whilst carburettor systems on the other hand have become rare – especially since Webber stopped production - and is now a VERY expensive option to have fitted!

By the time a manifold system, carburettors and operating linkages have been fitted, plus buying an assortment of jets for setup, a final bill of £1,000 is not untoward. We now feel that it is time that this ruling is changed to help keep the costs down and encourage people into the sport – which we so dearly love
