' Racing Really Does Improve the Breed '
After successfully racing two Honda Civic powered factory 5EXi's for a whole season, Marlin have now developed a Civic donor 5EXi option for sale to the public.
"The reasoning was simple," said Mark Matthews - technical director of Marlin, "the cars have proved to be fast and very reliable, plus there are lots of inexpensive tuning parts available for these Honda powered cars."
He then went on to say, "Civic donors are now easily available and there are also a huge base of help forums on the Internet specifically for these models".
The new donor package is ideally suited to the 1600cc and 1800cc V-Tech Civic models, but other engine fitments - including the awesome 2litre 'R' - are also possible.
As a direct result of the racing, suspension modifications have been implemented on the latest 5EXi and Marlin are now offering a retro-fitable package for earlier cars, - which includes rear suspension arms and hubs.
