Marlin 5EXi takes the “Complete Kit Car Award” at the annual Cheshire Kit Car Show.
The event, organised by the Rochdale owners club, is set in the magnificent grounds of Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire. This show is a great favourite for enthusiasts and 2007 was no exception, being supported by some magnificent vehicles…SS100, Gt40’s, Cobras, Marlins and Seven style amongst those cars all providing a great display.
The judging for the show was completed early in the afternoon and Richard Barr, builder and owner of the Marlin 5EXi that took the honours was delighted with the result. “I’m really pleased that a national magazine such as Complete Kit Car has recognised that this car is something special…it has made the whole build experience worthwhile”
Having put some 450 hours into the build over a 9 month period the finished car looked superb in it’s Orange Gel coat finish, and is pictured in front of the Jacobean Hall.
When asked Marlin commented “We were thrilled to hear the news and not at all surprised as Richard has done an absolutely superb job building his 5EXi”.
